What’s Going On Outside the Concourse?

Pardon our dust as we continue building the future of HSV! Construction is underway in the Huntsville International Airport terminal, where the concourse connector is being renovated to improve your travel experience.
The $13.3 million project will create a modern, welcoming space with more convenient access to the concourse. Passengers will have multiple options for passage from the Terminal to the Concourse including two elevators, four escalators (two up and two down), as well as stairs. The space will be aesthetically inviting with glass and stainless steel features.
In the meantime, temporary passageways that circumvent the construction project on the east and west sides of the concourse will provide access to gates just past the TSA checkpoint. These will go into service soon after the Thanksgiving holiday.
The HSV Terminal Improvement Project is funded by a BIL grant and Airport Improvement Program funds provided by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Construction began in June 2023 and is expected to be completed by late 2024.
